She uses her deep philosophical and practical understanding of her specialist area of functionality in mathematics to deliver engaging and motivating support.
Sandra has experience in mathematics drawn from teaching across the secondary age and ability range. She is a chartered mathematician, and has lectured on the Bristol mathematics master-classes for a number of years. Sandra has a broad background in whole school improvement and has worked across a range of subject disciplines as a local authority consultant and adviser at national level. She supported teachers, departments and senior leadership teams to work together on common agendas, notably ‘Assessment for learning’ and ‘Personal Learning and thinking skills’. This has resulted in high level skills of negotiation and creative thinking both of which she applies to her current brief of functionality in mathematics.
Sandra will draw on her experience to give you an honest and direct review of your current practice and plan a targeted support package to manage your particular improvement plan. She will work closely with all levels of leadership to identify clear steps to improvement that will improve pupil progress in mathematics.
