Introducing the Improve Maths team……..

We all have significant experience of working at national level and influencing change and development in mathematics teaching across the UK. We are:

• highly skilled in working collaboratively with teachers, subject leaders and line managers
• expert in developing successful networks to transfer good practice and so bring about improvements in teaching, learning and mathematics leadership.
• experienced writers who have developed an extensive range of mathematics resources that have influenced publishers and school mathematics schemes of work across the country and internationally.

At our core though, we are mathematics teachers and we have not lost sight of the reality of subject leadership. We have all played significant roles in school leadership teams and many have had senior roles in Local Authorities, Higher Education and in national teams. We are all trained in the current Ofsted Framework and a number of us are active school inspectors.

We are ideally placed to work in a ‘hands on’ capacity with subject leaders and teachers in classrooms; we can help you move towards ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ teaching.

We aim to continually strengthen, refresh and extend the Improve Maths pool of expertise by recruiting high calibre associates. Our standards are strict and we are pleased so far to have attracted an excellent field from primary and secondary phases including colleagues currently working in school.

Our work is led and quality assured by our Senior Adviser, Anne White who is a professional development accredited lead as certified by the NCETM.
